I've got an interesting day on tap tomorrow, so I'll save any introspection until after that.
Besides, I promised myself I'll be in bed in 25 minutes.
Happiness/ Gratitude list, 7 July 2008 edition:
- I had fun orienting the obviously-nervous new medical students to their surgery rotation this morning. It's so hard to convince people that surgeons aren't all scary people- and that it is okay to laugh.
- Cassi got a gold star at the vet today. Not for her behavior, trust me on that, though I know they deal with kitties that are far worse. None of the vet techs could believe that she's 15, and Kate gave her a clean bill of health (other than for the very minor but yucky issue I took her in for- it's all better now).
- I'm proud of myself for staying on-track with my "toughened up" menus, though it does help to realize I won't be quite this stringent forever. It feels great to be ramping my workouts back up, and the foot seems to be tolerating it.
- I gained a little bit on the liver data set today (a/k/a/ the "damn liver project"). Since I started this in 2003, I may be able to reach a completion date before 5 years expires ;)
- Payday is always good, right? I'm grateful that I have a job, and that it's one that I generally love.
