Bedtime blogging before I go shower and start some laundry. Not much to ramble about today other than I got to listen to the whole new Boland CD (thanks, Galleywinter!), and it's beyond amazing. Sublime, really. And I find it ironic that he's facing surgery for a polyp since his voice on the recordings sounds stronger and more beautiful than ever. If you haven't heard of Jason Boland and the Stragglers and you have any fondness for Waylon Jennings, check him out. Sometimes I think JB is channeling....
Happiness/ Gratitude list, 20 August 2008 edition:
- Walking to work today. I realized yesterday that the fact that I needed to drive (I had errands to run when I left) made me a little anxious, and I felt cooped up. Sometimes I confuse myself.
- One more day of trauma service. I don't hate it, I just don't love it. It's like being in Purgatory (and I don't mean the ski area in Southwest Colorado).
- I am, for now, caught up on administrative BS at work. I think.
- Listening to the new Boland. And knowing that my copy of it is on the way in the morning.
