Happiness/ Gratitude List, 30 September 2008 edition:
Not having to get up at dark-thirty. The kitties and I both appreciated it. Tucker actually got out of bed before I did- for a change.
Ordering new music! I have an upcoming "sing at church" solo Sunday and needed to get equipped properly for it.
Having exactly 0 items on my schedule tomorrow. I believe it shall be a "play outdoors, go look at changing aspen trees" day. Probably. Maybe.
The wonderful songwriting that is found on Wade Bowen's album that dropped today. I'm still kinda amazed that I'm blowing off the release party in Austin tomorrow (couldn't justify the plane ticket for one show and one night). Apologies for the noise in the video, but this song has the line I keep finding myself turning up and singing LOUDLY... "A bottle of wine rode shotgun with a rose while I was drivin' across town thinking about turning back". New love is scary, and this song captures that perfectly.
