More "honk and wave" blogging from me. This may be a prevalent theme until the 27th or so....or at least until I get some abstracts submitted on the 21st. I'm still looking for a 26 hour day with the same amount of stuff for me to get done....
Happiness/Gratitude List, 7 September 2008 Edition:
- A peaceful work weekend, at least in terms of new admissions and consults. The unit is still busy but it feels like things there are settling down substantially.
- Other than grocery shopping (my nemesis!), I'm caught up going into the week. There's more resistance than usual from me on the shopping thing right now because I think I'm in the process of a grocery store transition. I really don't care for the Wild Oats to Whole Foods conversion at all; fortunately the Smith's Marketplace nearest to me just underwent a major remodel and has a very nice natural food section now. The big advantage to shopping there is it's one stop for groceries and kitty food/ litter. We'll see how this goes.
- Feeling peace about all of The Boy decisions- especially since he never called back last week after saying that he would. That tells me...well, everything.
- Brunch on the Trio patio today. I mean, their eggs italiano are always delicious anyway. But it was in the low 70s, sunny, and just perfect. In short, a nice mini-retreat from reality and work.
- Blueberries. Fresh blueberries. Ahhhh....
