After my protracted grocery store whine (sans fromage), it's time for the better stuff.
Happiness/gratitude list, 2 October 2008 edition:
- I got most of my CDs organized in the entertainment cabinet in the study. I ordered a bunch of storage boxes from the Container Store and I love how things are set up. Unfortunately, I failed to order enough storage boxes so I'll be ordering again. I, uh, didn't realize I had this many CDs. What music issues, I say?
- I made cookies today for the first time in ages. Chocolate chip. Tasty chocolate chip. I'll take them to work with me on Saturday when I'm on call- to share, not for me.
- Howard Fineman's description of Sarah Palin during the debate as "a wolverine attacking the pantleg of a passerby." Nice. And amazingly accurate since wolverines aren't necessarily bright critters.
- Realizing that I'm in an amazingly good place with my perspective on life and whatever right now. Maybe, just maybe, I'm starting to get some of this stuff/ shit figured out. Or maybe I'm just so determined to "win" that it shall be so.
- I'm listening to the Randy Rogers CD that came out last week (to take a brief break from the new Wade that I keep raving about). The last song on it is something I wish had been around for me a couple of months ago. That said, The Boy comes off of the road next week and I sense a "hippopotamus" coming my way. I also sense a lilly pad getting thrown right on over him, maybe accompanied by "This is Goodbye".
