1st day back at work, and other than the usual spate of calls once I had to leave this afternoon (a fact I had announced at 7:45 a.m.) it was fine. Well, that and the "usual" underinformed burn call from rural somewhere tonight. After waiting 2 hours longer than I thought it should have taken them to get here, we called to find out that they took the patient to Primary and that she was released from there (proving that the referral was totally inappropriate). Sometimes I'm amazed at the things that put people in over their heads. I try to be gracious, but at times it's mind-boggling.
Happiness/Gratitude List 17 November 2008:
- Waking up in my own bed this morning. That was huge.
- 2 hours of Tucker in my lap this evening. I think the boy needs a kitten. Soon. I love him, but....
- Getting in a good workout in two parts.
- Rereading an email from a good friend from a couple of weeks ago. I miss him. I need to go to New York when I have down time.
- My shower is FINALLY back together. Wednesday morning I can use it :) I will be so glad to get moved back into "my" bathroom and out of Tucker's bathroom.
