Great day today- slept in-ish (awake at 6:30, lounged in bed until 8). Had a leisurely breakfast, then I took off to points north from Santa Fe. I made it to Chimayo and up to White Rock, then came back via Los Alamos. I wanted to get up to Jemez Springs but didn't have as much time as I would have liked and I lost good light to take pictures in as the clouds moved in ahead of a forecast snowstorm. So...I came on back down to Santa Fe and went to lunch. And I may or may not be reading the Monks of New Skete Puppy book :)
Don't get excited too quickly- IF I commit to the Dog Thing, it's not on a short time-line. I have fencework to get done first, and I want to have a pretty elaborate puppy care system in place for when things get wild at work. The absolute soonest would be after the first of the year, and I know me well enough to tell you it will be longer than that.
I'm skipping The List today. Photos from today will be forthcoming when I get home, and I'm pretty happy with some of what I got. Chimayo is good for the soul- and getting to rub my hands in the dirt there is enough to be thankful for today.
