Moments of insight I've had lately:
- My Tuesday night yoga class is one of the biggest activities of sanity in my life. Even when it's hip-opening night. Ouch, in a good way.
- Random check-ins from people I adore and don't get to see often enough make me sublimely happy.
- Having a cat who plays fetch is a fabulous source of inexpensive entertainment.
- Allowing myself to not eat perfectly all the time and not workout like a fiend? It's pushed my stress levels through the floor. I'm still working out and I'm still making reasonably good food decisions, I'm just not being neurotic about it. I'm feeling more and more comfortable with these choices, especially during busy clinical service times.
- Why do I end up with my heart hurting so much when I (completely inadvertently) hurt the feelings of someone I care about?
- "You're forgiven" are some of the most powerful- and kind- words out there. For me last night, they cured what was until then a fitful night of sleep.
