All the magic vanished into the misty air

I'm going back to basics.
The gratitude lists are being resurrected. They seem to keep my head on straight. They also remind me of the grace and wonder in my life- something that I've allowed myself to overlook a little too often (and for incredibly wrong reasons) lately.
So, Gratitude list, 12 April 2009 edition:
  1. Waking up to find Tuck asleep on my feet and Belle sprawled on the pillow next to me. Shortly thereafter, Belle moved to snuggle up with Tucker...and I have to rave about how cute they are together.
  2. Getting up to Alta for just a little while today. My foot wasn't happy to be skiing but the rest of me was. I will never fully understand the magic that is Little Cottonwood, but magic it is- magic of the soul-healing vairant.
  3. My piriformis has been out of spasm for 5 whole days. Considering it had been in spasm for...well, a year or two, on and off, this is amazing.
  4. Spending a few minutes with a wonderful friend earlier today. She's one of those "move a body" kind of friends and I couldn't love and respect her more.* It was wonderful to see her new home and to spend time with she and the wonderful man who is the reason for the new home.
  5. My new kitchen sink is so, so wonderful. I should have had it changed out months ago.
* Credit to Brene Brown for this description. "Move a body" friends are those friends who you could call if you literally needed to move a body- and not only would they help you, they wouldn't judge you either.
