The good news is that it's the last day of August so I can look at August and provide a summary of what I've learned in the last month. I know, not as much fun as a picture but it will do in a pinch.
- My intuition is sometimes scary in accuracy. Last December I said something about getting a dog the 2nd week of August. When did Kita move in? Yep, and I wasn't really looking either.
- It's intriguing to me how my mornings seem the most wonderful when I wake up with two kitties snuggled in bed with me and Kita in her bed (which is next to mine). It's one of those very simple, "All's right with the world" moments.
- I'm learning there is great peace in letting go of the struggle. Yes, sometimes it's scary to let go....but the peace of doing so is nothing short of wonderful.
- I'm recognizing that sometimes I do expect too much from people. More importantly, I'm realizing that the disappointment that can go with that is my issue, not theirs.
- My passion for using my faith (and my church) as a vehicle for good? Yeah, it's back. And I'm happy about it.
