Ah, Friday again- with a holiday weekend attached!
Today I am trusting that a friend will be okay. I feel like I've been watching him go rudderless and he's turning into someone who behaves very differently from the friend I've known. He seems resistant to me being a source of kindness for him right now, so all I have to offer are prayers and faith.
Today I am grateful for chances taken. This applies to so many areas of my life right now, areas where I've stepped out onto a limb a bit farther than I might have ordinarily been comfortable and areas in which that little bit of risk-taking has resulted in things for which I am deeply grateful. I'm sitting here looking at two of those chances at the moment- my boy cat and my beautiful dog, both of whom were rescues, both of whom I had to travel to a neighboring state to get.
Today I am inspired by Brene's friend Jen Lee. She asks a beautiful question with, "What is the story you are living in?" That's some wonderful food for thought. What is the story you are living in?
