Cast your doubts to the wind, lay your chains in the rubble

TGIS, again. I got distracted last night finishing one of the three books I've been devouring this week. I'm antsy to get going on Wolf Hall so I'm trying to get the "distractions" knocked out!

Today I am trusting that my do-it-yourself rehab plan for my knee is going to work just fine. So far it seems to be helping, and that's comforting. Now just to convince myself to not overdo (HA!).

Today I am grateful for down-time. I'm having a MAJOR goof-off day (other than going to a yoga workshop this afternoon), and it's nice. These are far too rare in my life.

Today I am inspired by some people I've had the chance to get to know over the last year. Last night we had a get-together for our group that is redesigning the curriculum for the medical school. It was an absolute treat to see everyone when we're not hard at work, and it reminded me how blessed I am to get to work with this group of scientists/ clinicians/ teachers/ creators. I am humbled to get to work with them.

Next post: MY favorite albums of 2009. I put "MY" in caps because they don't have to be your favorite albums of the year- though they all will be pretty awesome! A hint for one of them is in today's Now Playing.
