Money can't buy back your youth when you're old or a friend when you're lonely or a love that's grown cold

TGI Saturday? I feel a bit remiss because I honestly didn't accomplish a damn thing yesterday (other than lots of napping in response to this ick that I have, and reading about 150 pages of Jane Eyre) but you're getting the weekly list on Saturday anyway. I still feel relatively awful but I'm currently upright so I'll try to piece together some coherent thoughts.

Today I am trusting that I'm on the backside of this respiratory whatever-it-is that I've got. Anyone who knows me well knows I'm not patient with being ill, and I'm getting close to using up the minutes on my couch parking meter for a while.

Today I am grateful for the menagerie. I know, I'm often grateful for them, but I'm even more so during these (rare) times when I'm under the weather. Tucker has been an absolute love, Belle! has been less rambunctious than usual, and Kita has been a very sympathetic couch buddy. It's nice to have company that is truly devoid of expectations.

Today I am inspired by amazing music, another recurrent theme in my world. Specifically, if you haven't checked out the NPR feature with Rosanne Cash, do it now. Great stories, great music.
