TGI....it's Saturday again. Somehow it was 1130 last night before I had a moment to sit down to not-work things, so TGI got bumped.
Today I am trusting the joy of spontaneity. I'm usually a big planner and do lots of homework before I leave on a trip. Let's just say I got my Istanbul guidebook today and I leave in the morning. It's a new approach for me.
Today I am grateful for having the opportunity to go see the world. I know that I'm profoundly privileged to be able to do things like this. I'm trying not to think about my Giant Carbon Footprint I'm leaving....
Today I am inspired by the people I get the opportunity to teach and mentor. It's Chief Resident Graduation tonight, the last class that was here before I was faculty. I am so excited to see them embark upon their new adventure and to see the new faces showing up to start on the same journey. That reminds me that I need to kick out a blog post on making mistakes in medical care (particularly in training) in the next week or so.
