Today I am trusting that the next four weeks won't completely wear me down. Yes, I figure I'll be tired by August 20 based upon how busy the unit has been lately. I have faith that I'll be able to find moments of respite (Kita walks!) to recover.
Today I am grateful for small choices that prove to be wise. Example 1: Ordering room service 5 minutes before a giant thunderstorm rolled in tonight. My pasta and salad were perfectly lovely, and I didn't get pummeled with hail.
Today I am inspired by the people involved with the Boston 3-day this weekend. It's the first of a long season of 3-day Komen walks (Seattle- the one I'm walking in- is now 9 weeks away!). I know the effort the walkers have put in to get ready- and I know the Crew is working hard to keep the walkers safe and as comfortable as they can be. I'm PROUD to be part of this effort!
For music tonight, it's the title song from my favorite new album. Kevin Welch is nothing short of completely amazing.
