I think the best of me is still standin' in the doorway

It's been one of those weeks- so I'm reveling in what is feeling like a peaceful evening at home. My exhausted, headache-riddled self needs this after the last few days and nights.

Today I am trusting that I'll be a bit less broken after a good night's sleep. That's usually the case.

Today I am grateful for little kindnesses. A chai that magically shows up in my hand on a long afternoon, some help with the menagerie when I have a late night on tap, thank you emails when I'm exhausted from keeping the teacher/ clinician balls in the air...none of them seem like much, but put together they're what keeps me going when I'm overwhelmed.

Today I am inspired by Mary Oliver's poetry, this week "The Swan."

And did you feel it, in your heart, how it pertained to everything?

And have you too finally figured out what beauty is for?

And have you changed your life?
