Time for a little post-Austin TGIF...
Today I am trusting that I will be able to handle the hurt caused by a friend with grace. I'm not quite ready to ask that I be able to handle it with forgiveness.
Today I am grateful for a little time away the last two days. Okay, I failed to get away from the ongoing heinous pile of emails. But the St. Cecilia was a nice retreat and the opportunity to hear some amazing live music last night (Steve Earle and Allison Moorer!) was good for me- as was a couple of days out of the office.
Today I am inspired by beautiful use of language in the telling of a story. I'm about halfway into A Soldier in the Great War, and it's remarkable. Recommended Big Summer Book for this year, hands down.
