Sure, it's Friday, and I should be TGIFing. And in some ways I am, because I've been in a space of trust and grace (moreso than gratefulness) as I've realized how a few pieces of my life that had no apparent commonality are coalescing into this crazy, rich whole. No, it hasn't been a strategic plan, but sometimes we're blessed with wisdom we can't explain.
So, with that, on to my random thoughts for today, Friday, 28 September, 2012...
- I'm cutting the word "overwhelmed" out of my vocabulary for the next week. It's my effort to talk myself out of feeling that way. I can choose differently, and I will.
- Kita-dog is fully recovered from her nasty run-in with that dreadful dog that tried to beat her up two weeks ago. Ironically, she tolerated suture removal FAR better than she tolerates the Furminator.
- I'm uncertain what I was thinking starting Weight Watchers on a week I'm traveling. That said, I rocked it today (I banked 2 activity points on a "rest" day). If I can do this on the road it should be a piece of cake- so to speak- at home. Right?
- While I wish I could stay home all of October (once I get home from this trip, that is), I'm looking forward to seeing La Famille Bass. They'll more than make up for a few more days away from the nest.
- Personal "goals" for this week: Schedule my Big Sky weekend for the winter. And look into a Sun Valley girls' long weekend. If anyone's reading who might be up for SV, let me know.
- I wish my toenail that I lost from the Boston 3-Day would hurry up and grow back. It looks weird when I'm barefoot or in sandals.
- Speaking of Boston, I'm developing an almost-pathologic fondness for that city.
- I need to get my paws on a copy of Brené Brown's new book Daring Greatly. It looks too good to miss, and we know I'm a fangirl anyway.
- It's bedtime in 5 minutes or I turn into a pumpkin. Sweet dreams, friends.
