I know, I know, it's been WEEKS. Between 3-Day craziness, work and life craziness, and whatever else, TGIF has fallen off of the priority list (sleep kept winning). I'm back, and I'll do my best to stay on task.
Today I am trusting that I'll have some space to breathe, and that in turn will allow me to delegate some things. I am admittedly struggling keeping all of the current work responsibilities in the air, and while I love most everything I'm doing, I need to do a "review and repair." Soon.
Today I am grateful for friends who get my sense of the silly and run with it (and who seem to appreciate it). Yesterday it was, "I speak whale" in response to a Nemo-themed Facebook status update. Today it's been a series of comments about glittery pink tutus and flamingos. As I said earlier, the comments are Exhibit A of what's right in my life. I am surrounded by love and joy in the midst of the chaos.
Today I am inspired by Turning the Mind into an Ally, an interesting book on Shamatha meditation that I'm working my way through. Sakyong Mipham's approach to mindfulness is gentle and patient and simply resonates with me.
Now listening: Adam Hood "The Shape of Things" (I've had the CD of the same title on repeat the last few days...between the title song and "Hell of a Fight" it's hard to do listen to anything else)Labels: TGIF
