Dear Kita-Dog-
I have few words for how sad I am, and how empty I know this place is going to feel without you. Still, I wouldn't trade our 4 years together for anything. I learned to be more patient and more kind because of you, and your skill at living in the moment was unrivaled. You had such a sweet, gentle, spirit that charmed everyone you met (even non-dog types). You loved kitties, to the point that you were pretty certain that Belle! was your puppy. You taught me to treasure those bitterly cold January mornings, mostly because our walks brought you such joy. You sassed me, you demanded cookies from me, and you were patient with me when my schedule was awful. You always loved me unconditionally. I'll especially miss this look:
Thank you for being you- I would argue one of the greatest dogs of all time. Thank you for being brave. And thank you for every moment we've had together. We both got pretty damn lucky.
