If we pass through on a Sunday, better make a stop at Wayne's

It's been a whirlwind of a week.  Started Sunday morning in Atlanta, made it home by dinnertime on Tuesday with my new dog girl (who may have been more tolerant of a couple of days in the car than I was!). And suddenly today I'm back on service.  As worried as I was about Livvie's first "long" day by herself with the kitties, she did great.  Evidently she had a super time with her walker today as well; I'm learning quickly how very smart this pup is too.  Maybe a little too smart?!?

Today I am trusting that I'll easily work my way through my weekend "to-do" list.  If someone can explain to me how I ended up with three talks to prepare for the upcoming few weeks, please let me know.  Or maybe I need to practice "No" a little bit more.

Today I am grateful for a safe, uneventful cross-country trek with my Mom this week.  Yes, Livvie was in Alabama.  Yes, it was a long drive.  Yes, I really appreciate her facilitation of my apparent insanity.  I have to say that Livvie was worth the trouble.

Today I am inspired by Anne Lamott's musings for the day.  I'm especially fond of this:
"If you want to have happy loving feelings, do loving things.  That's the secret of life, whether you are at all Jesusy or not."
Indeed, I believe it is.

Now listening:  Jason Isbell "Alabama Pines"- in honor of driving past Wayne's last Sunday afternoon.
