The answer you held doesn't fit anymore

I'm told it's Friday night, though I lost a night to travel so I have to check my calendar to actually believe this.  I know that I taunted everyone with the possibility of a Livvie Blog Friday but I didn't get my act together before leaving town last night.  Of note, that's partially her doing because it seems that someone is a high-jumping Houdini who can get onto kitchen counters to eat cat food.  Therefore, my spare hour I had before departure was dedicated to putting together a fancy-pants cabinet to hold cat food in a theoretically Livvie-proof fashion.  We'll see if it actually works.

Today I am trusting that I really am going to be able to claim some space in the next month to get some projects either finished or dropped so that I can get started on a couple of projects that truly excite me.  I really, really, REALLY want to get moving with some interview data collection that I've been pushing off for a year.  This will be great stuff and I need to move it forward.  I also will spend the next couple of months claiming a way to move forward with my not-so-crazy idea of having digital cameras available for our pediatric burn survivors at the time of hospital discharge.  Some really amazing opportunities exist in there.

Today I am grateful for safe travels, even if red-eye flights are physically grueling.  I am also grateful for breakfast tacos (and National Taco Day), for smart, silly and loyal Siberian Huskies (she is a loyal one), for comrades in arms who "get it."  All are blessings.

Today I am inspired by a Rilke quote- the short-ish version of which I keep around all the time.  "And the point is, to live everything.  Live the questions now."

Make it a beautiful week.  Live those questions, and live them now.
