A few months ago, I got into the habit of writing my list of things I accomplished the prior week on Sunday evenings, just before working on my list for the upcoming week. It's a nice reminder that I really am getting things done.
So what did I get done this week?
Personal
- Attended the ballet and the symphony, getting my dose of music and culture for the week
- Got all of my workouts in and practiced yoga twice!
- Kept up with my self-imposed study schedule for recerts
- Voted
- Had two days with no alarm clock. I have no words to describe the joy of this.
- Got a massage. So needed, and such a wonderful way to spend Sunday evening
Professional
- Completed some committee tasks for ABA
- Progressed with writing the conclusions for our disruptive surgeons manuscript (this WILL get done this week!)
- Graded lots of student assignments, participated in humanities day for this block, got the schedule organized for the next block
- Minded the burn unit for a couple of days
- Survived another overly-long Wednesday...they haven't killed me. Yet.
- Coordinated upcoming recon cases
Would I like to have done more? Of course, because that's how I am hard-wired. Do I give myself a gold star for what I got done? Yes, I think I do, particularly because I got it all done without sacrificing sleep or "down" time.
